"Mama Wears My Heart on Her Wrist" Sterling Silver and Natural Ithaca Peak Turquoise Cuff

"Mama Wears My Heart on Her Wrist" Sterling Silver and Natural Ithaca Peak Turquoise Cuff

This celebrated cuff by Monica Silva Lovato is a powerful expression of traditional Pueblo silverwork. Titled Mama Wears My Heart on Her Wrist, the piece earned Second Place in the Jewelry Traditional category at the 2025 Red Earth Festival. The winning ribbon is included with the cuff.

The design features a wide sterling silver band with detailed stamp work framed by a beaded edge. At the center sits a vivid Natural Ithaca Peak turquoise cabochon set in a raised bezel. Surrounding the stone is a cluster of individually domed silver elements that create dimension and a sculptural focal point. The balance of texture, height, and pattern reflects Monica’s technical control and her dedication to elevating traditional forms.

The cuff measures about 2 3/4 inches across the interior at the widest point and offers light adjustability. The turquoise stone is approximately 3/4 inch, and the raised centerpiece spans about 1 1/2 inches in height. The band measures 1 inch in width.
