Native Spirit Necklace

The pendant measures 1" x 3/4" x 1/4". Necklace length is 24". Size 13 cut bead loom work on a metal pendant and buckskin leather strand adorned with larger decorative beads. Size 13 bead colors: Blue, white, yellow, and orange cut beads. Pendant is signed by the artist.

Yonavea is Caddo bead work artist who creates unique bead work. She also creates Native American cultural items such as moccasins with handstitched bead work. She loves Caddo dances and attending powwows when not getting ready for art markets.

Her bead work is done on a loom or hand stitched on buckskin using two needle applique stitch or half stitch. She signs her work, so you know that it is an original piece made by her. Yonavea creates her pieces focusing on traditional designs with contemporary colors.

Yonavea has won awards for her bead work at juried art markets such as the Red Earth Festival, Artesian Arts Festival, South Eastern Art Show and Market, and the Cherokee Art Market.
