Crescent Naja Stud Earrings

Naja is a genus of cobras and this symbol was adopted by the Navajo as a crescent form used in squash-blossom necklaces. In Paleolithic times, it has represented the Phoenician goddess of fertility and in the Book of Judges in the Bible, was worn as ornaments on camels' necks. The Moors used it in a horse's bridal to protect the horse and rider from the "evil eye".
