Protectors is the second installment in Alexandra Brodt's original Night Heron series. Building upon the themes introduced in Co-Existence, this work focuses on guardianship, strength, and the responsibility we carry for one another.
The Night Heron becomes a symbolic protector, representing those who stand watch over family, community, culture, and the natural world. Through striking colors and layered imagery, Brodt explores the ways protection can take many forms, from physical care to cultural preservation and emotional support.
