Nan Inchuwa
Coloring & Activity Book by Dr. Deana Ward and Lauren Williams
Paperback | 64 pages | 8.5" x 11"
Created by Choctaw mother-daughter artists Dr. Deana Ward and Lauren Williams, Nan Inchuwa is a playful and engaging coloring book that celebrates Choctaw culture through art. Based in Oklahoma on the Choctaw reservation, both artists are active community members and skilled beadworkers. Lauren also brings her talents as a graphic artist to this vibrant project.
Designed for all ages, Nan Inchuwa invites you to explore traditional and contemporary Choctaw iconography, express your creativity, and even add your own drawings. Some pages are abstract and open-ended, while others highlight cultural themes and imagery. This project grew from a shared love of art and culture, and the artists hope it encourages you to keep creating and connecting with Indigenous traditions.
