Clover Eater Print

Lush green foliage, purple clematis blossoms, and a little ghost bunny bring a bittersweet garden story to Clover Eater by Cherokee artist Alix Robinson.

Inspired by a rabbit who lived beneath the clematis vine in the artist’s garden, the painting remembers Eater, named for her love of munching on clover. Though her favorite meals were four-leaf clovers, her luck eventually ran out in an encounter with the artist’s cat. Robinson imagines her ghost nestled among the greenery, returning Eater to the garden she called home.
