Gilded Cherokee Roses Print

White blossoms and hand-finished gold leaf bring light to this print of Cherokee Roses by Cherokee artist Alix Robinson.

Robinson connects the Cherokee rose with hope and resilience, sharing the legend that flowers grew from the tears of mothers grieving children lost along the Trail of Tears. The painting honors the artist’s ancestor, who survived the journey at eight years old, and remembers those who perished.
