Handcrafted by award-winning Caddo artist Yonavea Hawkins, this striking pendant necklace features finely detailed loom beadwork mounted within a metal pendant frame and suspended from a soft buckskin leather cord. The geometric design is created with size 13 cut seed beads, forming a bold central motif inspired by traditional Native beadwork patterns.

The pendant is accented with decorative black, red, and silver-toned beads along the leather strand, creating a balanced composition that complements the beadwork design. The contrast of vibrant colors against the black background gives the piece a contemporary feel while remaining rooted in traditional Indigenous artistic expression.

About the Artist
Yonavea Hawkins is a Caddo beadwork artist known for creating distinctive beadwork and traditional Native cultural items, including hand-beaded moccasins. Her work combines traditional Native designs with contemporary color palettes and is created using both loom beadwork and hand-stitching techniques on buckskin. She has received awards for her beadwork at juried art markets including the Red Earth Festival, Artesian Arts Festival, Southeastern Art Show & Market, and Cherokee Art Market. When not creating artwork, Yonavea enjoys participating in Caddo dances and attending powwows.
