Susan Howard grew up in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and currently resides in Oklahoma City with her family. She is a member of the the Muscogee/Creek tribe.
In addition to being an artist, Howard is an attorney, musician (plays piano, flute, Native flutes and other instruments), volunteer, Tai Chi instructor with Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, teaches jewelry making, gives cooking demonstrations and is a ministry facilitator for Paint & Pray; a faith based art program at Wesley United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
Howard’s creations have won first and second places at various art shows over the years as well as Best in Category.
Howard was adjudicated in as an artist for the Red Earth Festival in Oklahoma City for many years.
