Collection: Lola Marshall

    Lola is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She is a retired English teacher from Cushing, Oklahoma where she taught junior high and high school students for over 35 years. She was raised in Ada, Oklahoma and studied at East Central University. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Library Sciences and a Masters in English. Lola has always been a creative writer of children’s stories and in her retirement began the traditional craft of basketmaking. She has worked in many different styles and materials with her favorite pieces being the double-wall method. She has always enjoyed traveling, attending musicals and plays and spending time with her grandson. She lives in Cushing, Oklahoma with her husband.
