Call for Artists

    This exhibit celebrates the creativity, strength, and resilience of Indigenous women. We invite you to share your powerful narratives and artistic expressions.

    The central theme of "Through Her Eyes" is the celebration of strong and empowered women. We want to showcase works that depict women as central figures — highlighting their stories, strength, and resilience. Each piece should resonate with the idea of women as powerful creators and storytellers, embodying the spirit of Native women across the Americas.

    Submission Guidelines

    • Eligibility: This call is open to Indigenous female artists. To participate, you must provide a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) and identify as female.
    • Artwork: You may submit up to three artworks of any medium. If selected, please note that approval for participation in the exhibit does not guarantee that all submitted artworks will be displayed.
    • Theme: The exhibit's central theme is the celebration of strong and empowered women. We seek works that depict women as central figures, highlighting their stories, strength, and resilience.

    Exhibit Theme

    We are inviting Indigenous female artists to submit their work for the Through Her Eyes exhibition, a powerful showcase of the talent, wisdom, and resilience of Native women. This exhibit aims to celebrate the matriarchal perspectives that shape the lives and stories of Native communities and the artistic brilliance that emerges from these traditions.

    We are looking for artwork that reflects the strength, beauty, and cultural richness of Native women, told through your unique artistic voice. Submissions may depict personal journeys, cultural narratives, or themes that honor the significant role of women in Native societies. We welcome works that emphasize resilience, empowerment, and the deep connection to heritage.
