George Curtis Levi is a Member of the Southern Band of The Cheyenne People. He is also Southern Arapaho and Oglala Lakota.
He was raised in the Western Oklahoma Communities of El Reno, Concho, and Geary.
He is inspired by The History of The Cheyenne People. The Arts of the Cheyenne were and still are amongst the most beautiful of all Native American Arts, whether it is beadwork, ledger art or rawhide work. It all tells a story.
Ledger art is a traditional warrior art that originated amongst The Cheyenne in the 1850's. As a Cheyenne artist, it is a continuation of a part of life for him and his People.
