The annual Red Earth Run, a 10k, 5k and one-mile Fun Walk, has a new date but a familiar location for its 2012 edition. Nearly 500 runners are expected to participate in the Red Earth Run scheduled March 10, at Regatta Park and River Trails along the Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City. The event is sponsored by Tinker Federal Credit Union.
“The success of our previous events has encouraged us to make the 2012 Red Earth Run a stand alone event on Saturday, March 10,” said Darius Jackson, Red Earth Run Chairman. “Our 10k, 5k and 1-mile Fun Walk is a perfect warm up for the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon scheduled just seven weeks after us on April 29.”
