Beaded Earrings Flat-Stitch Class

    Instructor: Jame Lyn Hamilton, Comanche - Kiowa

    In this three-hour class beginner's class, Jame Lyn Hamilton, Comanche - Kiowa artist will teach the flat-stitch beadwork style. Students will work with seed-beads on felt with this traditional technique to create their own pair of beautiful beaded earrings. All supplies are included. Reader glasses are recommended for detail work. 

    Located in the Red Earth Art Center, lobby BancFirst Tower, 100 N Broadway in downtown OKC.

    Jame Lyn Hamilton - Tohn Thay Tighgyeah Mah (Kiowa - Comanche) resides in Anadarko, Oklahoma with her husband Jesse Hamilton (Kiowa - Arapaho) and daughter Kendal. Jame is co-owner/artisan of Choke Cherry Designs, specializing in Southern Plains regalia, hand crafted camp furniture and hand-painted Native home decor.

    She began beading as a young girl by working with her Mother, Grandma's and Aunties who are all well -known Native crafters. Jame enjoys helping her daughter and others learn to make their own regalia so they can take an active role in being a part of their tribal identity. She looks forward to teaching this class and sharing a bit of what has been passed on to her and her family.
