Cultural Performance Stage featuring
Darryl Tonemah 
Darryl Tonemah had no idea that when he began writing songs, while attending college, that several years, shows, CD's, nominations, radio and TV appearances, and a Native American Music Award, that he would be releasing his 5th CD "Inkblot's & Random Thoughts" to what has be come an international fan base. All the time still retaining the same small town Midwestern point of view and great storytelling that has become his trademark.
A singer/songwriter in the purist sense, Tonemah combines the energy of rock, the intelligence of folk and the heart of country, to create a musical niche he calls, "Native Americana".
Darryl will perform live during the Red Earth Festival singing an intimate acoustic set. CD's will be available for purchase.
Brian Akipa

Bryan Akipa, a member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribe, an Army veteran, elementary teacher, visual and performing artist, is an award winning traditional Native American flute player. His CDs have been, nominated for several Native American Music Awards including 2002 Best Flutist and Best Male Artist. In addition to being a premier Native American flute player, Bryan is internationally known for his craftsmanship of traditional flutes. He is also a champion traditional dancer that tours with the Lakota Sioux Dance Theatre. His performances and artwork informs others about his history and heritage.
Bryan will perform live on the Cultural Performance Stage daily. He is also a fine artist at the Red Earth Festival where you can purchase his flutes and CDs at Booth # 415.
Monte Yellow Bird
Monte Yellow Bird Sr. or better known in the art world as Black Pinto Horse is a nationally renowned Native American Artist, Cultural/Educational Consultant, Presenter and Storyteller. A member of the Arikara and Hidatsa Nation from White Shield, North Dakota, he currently resides in Great Falls Montana as the Artist in Residence with the Paris Gibson Square Museum and Great Falls Public Schools.
Oil painting is his first love and much of his recent work is created using this medium. He also creates works in acrylics, watercolor, printmaking, and ceramics mediums. Sculpting is the most comfortable for him. Among other things, he also provides teambuilding workshops to corporations, educates teachers about First Nation traditions and culture and attends art shows across the United States. With experience in many different capacities, he also works with at-risk youth.
Monte will be presenting Storytelling and discussion about Ledger Drawing history at the Cultural Performance stage. He is also a fine artist in booth #202.
