Red Earth Museum focuses on importance of Eagle in new exhibition of paintings, sculpture, pottery and cultural artifacts
A new exhibition entitled “The Eagle in American Indian Art &
Custom” has opened at Oklahoma City’s Red Earth Museum with paintings,
sculpture and pottery by some of the state’s most recognized
contemporary and traditional American Indian artists. The exhibition is

Cummings receives Red Earth 'Spirit Award' during benefit auction & dinner at State Capitol rotunda
Fridaylander Doug Cummings was named recipient of the 2006 Red Earth
Spirit Award during a benefit auction & dinner held recently on the
Fourth Floor Rotunda of the State Capitol. The evening featured a
keynote address by Bill Anaotubby, Governor of the Chickasaw Nation,
and a silent and live auction for the benefit of the Red Earth Museum

Progress of American Indian Culture Center focus of OKC Indian Art Club meeting Red Earth Museum
The plans and progress of the American Indian Cultural Center,
currently under construction at the crossroads of I-35 and I-40 in
downtown Oklahoma City, is the focus of an event scheduled Friday, Oct.
27 at the Red Earth Museum at Omniplex located at 2100 NE 52nd Street
in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Indian Art Club and Red Earth, Inc.

scheduled Monday, Oct. 16 at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club,

Mike Larsen Named 2006 Red Earth Honored One
Mike Larsen, award winning Chickasaw artist, has been named the 2006
Red Earth Honored One. Larsen receives the award for his dedication and

Local young lady to represent Red Earth Festival 2006
Bridget Blackowl, 19, an enrolled member of the Cheyenne & Arapaho
Tribes of Oklahoma has been named Miss Red Earth 2006. Blackowl is a
freshman, majoring in Nursing, at Redlands Community College in El Reno
and a 2005 graduate of Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah. An animal
lover, she is a volunteer for Pets and People Humane Society in Yukon. Read More
